ProTest BI Test Pack is a pre-assembled Process Challenge Device (PCD) with an Instant Readout Integrator which can be used to immediately release non-implant loads and for the emergency release of implants. This challenge pack for steam also includes one (1) ProTest Biological Indicator for verification of biological kill. Incubation time is only 24 hours and ProTest fits into many incubators currently out in the marketplace.

Control BI: The control unit should exhibit turbidity and/or a color change to or toward yellow. If the control unit does not show signs of growth, consider the test invalid.

Test BI: A failed sterilization cycle is indicated by turbidity and/or a color change to or toward yellow. A test unit that retains its original purple color indicates that sterilization parameters have been met.

Certification

Each lot of ProTest is certified for population, species, D-value, z-value (where applicable), purity and expiry. Shelf life is 18 months from the date of manufacture. The above catalog numbers for ProTest comply with the AAMI/ISO 11138-1 and AAMI/ISO 11138-3.

*Non-implant loads only, loads containing implants should be quarantined until biological results are known. Instant readout card may be used to aid in the release of implant loads prior to biological results in emergency situations only.
